Euphrosine was born in 1130 in Kiev, Ukraine.1   Euphrosine's father was Grand Duke Mstislas of Kiev I and her mother was Ljubava Saviditsch of Novgorod.  Her paternal grandparents were Grand Duke of Kiev Vladimir (Monomach) Rurik of Kiev II and Princess of England Gytha Haroldsdottir (of Wessex); her maternal grandparents were Dmitri Saviditsch and <Unknown>. She had a brother named Vladimir. She had five half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Izyaslav, Vsevolod, Roman, Svyatopolk, Rostislav, Kseniya, Ingeborg, Malmfrida, Mariya, Irina, Rogneda and Marie.  She died at the age of 56 in 1186 in Byzantium, Turkey.1
