Henry was born on November 11th, 1050 in Goslar, Brunswick, Germany.1   Henry's father was Holy Roman Emperor, King Henry (The Black) of Germany III and his mother was Princess of Aquitaine Agnes of Poitou.  His paternal grandparents were Emperor Conrad (The Salian) of Saxony II and Gisela of Swabia; his maternal grandparents were Grand Count of Acquitaine William (The Great) of Poitou V and Agnes of Burgundy de Macon. He had two sisters named Maud and <Unknown>. He had a half-sister named Irmgard.  He died at the age of 55 on August 7th, 1106 in Luttich.1
