He first appears in York Co, VA. in Sept. 1692.  He evidently returned to England where he married his step-sister Mary Lee before 1694, and returned to VA with his step-brother , John Lee.  Received land grants in Spottsylvania Co of 800 acres signed by King George II dated Sept. 2, 1728. They lived on a plantation in Albermarle Co.
