RESIDENCE: According to the Houk Family Dictionary, George lived in Washington County 1803-1817, Hart County 1819, and Green County until his death.

DEATH:
Green Co. Kentucky Will Book 2 (1816-1893) page 176. The will was dated 15 Oct 1829, marked with an 'x' by the name of George Houk, signifying his mark.
The will was produced in the Green County courthouse in Greensburg on 21 Dec 1829. Therefore, George died between 15 Oct 1829 and 21 Dec 1829. Witnesses were Mansfield Houck and John Houck.

The will reads in part: " In the name of God, Amen, I george Houck, being in perfect mind....It is my will and desire that my loving wife Susannah should keep and enjoy all my personal and real estate during her natural life after paying my debts and giving my sons John and Miles Houck one horse saddle and bridle to each of them...and to (unreadable) their horses when they become of age. It is my will and desire that at her death that all the balance of my estate be equally divided amongst my children all."

He sailed the Loyal Judith and landed in Pennsylvania in 1739. He moved to Reading PA (Berks Co.) and died there Jan 31, 1761. Anna Maria was born abt. 1740, location unknown. They were the parents of 8 known children. Berks County Administration Book 2:Peter Hauck of Greenwich Township, yeoman; Letters of Administration granted31, Jan 1761 to Ana Maria Hauch, widow and relict. Peter Hauck's will (Estate sale) indicates that Anna Maria Scwedener had

The book also references Johann Nicholas Schiel whose mother was
Elizabeth Elizabetha Houch, July 1689) daughter of Mattheis Houch of
Lagenbach. Johan Nicholas came to America on the Royal Judith in 1739 and would have been Johan Peter's first cousin and Jacob's nephew and they were manumitted together. (per Grady Loy-Japan).
