‌William Sheppard and Martha Adeline were married in a religious ceremony on March 6th, 1827 in Bibb Co., GA..  They had seven sons and two daughters, named George William, Augusta, Thomas Harrison, Oliver Prince, Gilmer Sheppard, John Corbett, Augustus Hampton, Mary Bedell and Alice Sheppard.
