Nithard (The Chronicler) de Ponthieu 
Nithard, known as The Chronicler, was born in 0794 in Crecy en Ponthieu, Picardy, France.1 The Chronicler's father was Angilbert (The Saint) de Ponthieu and his mother was Bertha Carolingian. His paternal grandparents were Nithard Carolingian and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Charlemagne Roman and Empress Hildegard Von Vinzgau Of Serbia. He had a brother and two sisters, named Hardouin, Arsinde and Berthe. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 50 in 0844 in St. Riquier, Artois, France.1 General Notes
