Earl of Wigmore Ralph de Mortimer 
Ralph was born in 1190 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.1 Ralph's father was Roger de Mortimer and his mother was Isabel Millicent de Ferrers. His paternal grandparents were Baron Wigmore Hugh de Mortimer and Maud Longespic; his maternal grandparents were 3rd Earl of Derby William de Ferrers and Sybil de Braose. He had a sister named Joan. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 56 on August 6th, 1246 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.1 General Notes

Fifth Lord of Wigmore, succeeding his brother Hugh in 1227. He and Gladys had four sons. Their descendants included Edward IV.
Through this marriage the house of Mortimer became after 1283 the legitimate representatives of the old line of Gwynedd.
