David was born in 1144 in Huntington, Huntingtonshire, Scotland.1   David's father was Prince, Earl of Huntington Henry Caenmore of Scotland and his mother was Ada De Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were King David (The Saint) Dunkeld of Scots I and Matilda of Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents were William De Warren II and Isabel (Elizabeth) De Crepi. He had a brother and three sisters, named The Lion, Ada, Majory and Margaret.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 75 on June 17th, 1219 in Jedelay, Roxburghshire, Scotland.1
