Philip Fitzrobert de Gai

Philip was born in 1122 in Gloucestershire, England.¹ Philip's father was 1st Earl of Gloucester Robert (The Consul) of Caen and his mother was Mabel (Maud) Fitzhammon. His paternal grandparents were King Henry (Beauclerc) England I and Nest verch Deheubarth Rhys Heiress of Carew, Tywysoges Deheubarth; his maternal grandparents were Robert Lord of Tewksbury Fitzhammon and Sybil Matilda De Montgomery. He had a brother and three sisters, named William, Christiana, Mabira and Maud. He was the youngest of the five children. He had a half-sister named Mabel. He died before 1190 in Northbrook, Oxfordshire, England.²
