Einion was born in 0933 in Deheubarth, Wales.1 Einion's father was Owain ap Hywel Dda Brenin Deau Cymru and his mother was Angharad verch Llewelyn Brenhines Powys. His paternal grandparents were Hywel (The Good) ap Cadell and Elen verch Llywarch; his maternal grandparents were Llywelyn ap Merfyn and <Unknown>. He had four brothers named Cadwallon, Maredydd, Llywarch and Iestyn. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 51 in 0984 in Gwent, Monmouthshire, Wales.1 -
