Alton Vickers 
Alton was born on October 9th, 1914 in Patterson Twp, Durham Co, NC. Alton's father was T. Richard Vickers and his mother was Ada Frances Gooch. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan 'John' A. Vickers and Henrietta Frances Proctor. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Lucius E., Ollie Green, Lenonie, Lona J., Myrtie and Hurreldine. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 1 on March 9th, 1916 in Patterson Twp, Durham Co, NC. He was buried in Gooch Family (Hope Valley) Cemetery, Durham Co, NC.General Notes
