Joseph Henry Knox Simmons 
Joseph Henry Knox was born on May 11th, 1829 in White Co, TN. Joseph Henry Knox's father was Joseph N. Simmons and his mother was Mary Elizabeth 'Betty' Lewis. His paternal grandparents were James Simmons and Stacy Ann Roberts. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin Lewis, James D., Andrew Jackson 'Jack', George Washington, Mamie Elizabeth, Katherine and Maryann. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had a half-sister named Francis M.. He died at the age of 81 on September 25th, 1910 in White Co, TN. He was buried in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cummingsville, Van Buren Co, TN.General Notes
