Elva was born in 1900. Elva's father was Milton Daniel Sheek and her mother was Nola Shell Foster. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Henry Foster and Louise Angelica Smith. She had a sister named Martha Marie. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 83 in 1983.-
