Louis I (The Pious) was born on September 25th, 0778 in Ingelheim, Hesse-Darmstadt, Rhineland, Prussia.1   Louis I (The Pious)'s father was Charlemagne Roman and his mother was Empress Hildegard Von Vinzgau Of Serbia.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Pepin (The Short) France III and Berthe (Bertrade) Laon; his maternal grandparents were Gerold Allemania I and Emma Allemania. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Charles, Carloman, Rotrude and Bertha. He had two half-sisters named Aupais and Liegarde.  He died at the age of 61 on June 20th, 0840 in Casseneuil, Lot-Et-Garonne, France.  He was buried in Cathaedrale D'Aachen, Rheinland, Prussia.1
