Rollo, known as The Strong, The Ganger, was born in 0872 in Maer, Nord-Trondelag, Norway.1  The Strong, The Ganger's father was Earl of More and Romsdal Rognvald (The Wise) Eysteinsson I and his mother was Countess of More Ragnhild (Hilda) Hrolfsdottir.  His paternal grandparents were Earl of More Eystein (The Noisy, Glumra) Ivarsson and Countess of Oppland Ascrida Rognvaldsdottir; his maternal grandparents were Hrolf Nefja (Nefia) and Hilder de Nefus. He had three brothers named Hrollaug, The Silent and Turf.  He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother named Hrollager.  He died at the age of 59 in 0931 in Notre Dame, Rouen, Normandie, Neustria.1
