Howard Linsley was born on November 4th, 1897 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Howard Linsley's father was Samuel Ayers Roberts and his mother was Sarah Lou Talley. His paternal grandparents were James Ellis Roberts and Jane Moore. He had eight brothers and eight sisters, named Alvis Percy, Samuel Lester, Otho Lytel, Clyde T., Cecil C., Clarence, James R., Thomas T., Elizabeth Bell, Pearl Jane, Minnie Ethel, Lou Deane, Ruby May, Annie L., Jessie E. and Lillie. He died at the age of 81 on August 3rd, 1979 in Greensboro, Guilford Co, NC.1 General Notes
