Fredrick Anderson was born in July 1897 in Rockingham Co, NC.1 Fredrick Anderson's father was Joseph Young Roberts and his mother was Virginia Carter Anderson. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Henry Roberts and Lutisha T. Hopper. He had six brothers and a sister, named Emmett Wilson, John H., Joe William, Carl, Everett Oliver, Marvin Wesley and Alma Day. He was the third oldest of the eight children.1 General Notes
