James Plumlee 
James was born in 1822 in White Co, TN. James' father was Joel Plumlee Sr. and his mother was Rachel Simmons. His maternal grandparents were James Simmons and Stacy Ann Roberts. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Isaac C., William, John, Zachariah, Joel, Francis Marion, Charles Montgomery, Elizabeth, Nancy and Rachel.
