Ara F. was born in 1913 in Carroll Co, TN and her baptism took place in Census 1930. Ara F.'s father was Alfred F. Parish and her mother was Nancy Leona Cary. Her paternal grandparents were Mark E. Parish and Elizabeth Brinkley; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Cary and Mary J. Liza Johnson. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Charles Elbert, James F., Alfred H., Willie, Sion, Elmer G., Albert F., Minnie Dorothy, Margaret Cavia and Eslia.
