Martha J. PAYTON 
Martha J. was born on October 6th, 1859 in Jackson Township, Putnam Co., Indiana.1 Martha J.'s father was William PAYTON. Her paternal grandparents were Anthony PAYTON and Margaret WALLINGFORD. She had six brothers and eight sisters, named Anthony, Daniel, George W., John William, Charles Franklin, Harvey D., Margaret E., Sarah E., Mary Field, Emmaline Rhoda, Eveline, Julia Ann, Minnie Clay and Amanda Florence. She was the sixth youngest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 29 on February 12th, 1889 in Perry, Dallas Co., Iowa.2 -
