William Daniel McKinney 
William Daniel was born on January 26th, 1842 in Red River Co, Texas, USA. William Daniel's father was George Younger McKinney and his mother was Nancy Akin. His maternal grandparents were William (Bill) Collin Akin and Rebecca (Becky) McKinney. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Collin Milam, James Carroll, George Alexander, Thomas Ashley, Benjamin Franklin, Sarah Elizabeth, Peggy, Laura Sarilda, Mary Susan and Nancy Ellen. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died due to died of measles en route home from the civil war at the age of 23 in 1865.-
