William Ellis Martin 
William Ellis was born in 1834 in Bedford Co, Va. William Ellis' father was William Joseph Martin and his mother was Elinor "Elender" Ellis. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin C. Ellis and Tellitha Tabitha Mitchell. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Thomas, "Mack" Martin, Emily Ann, "Juliann", Sophia, Hope "Hoppie" Jane and Missouria Ellis. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died due to "exposure" during Civil War at Williamsburg Hosp. at the age of 27 in 1861 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
