Joseph Thomas Martin 
Joseph Thomas was born on February 22nd, 1845 in Bedford Co, Va. Joseph Thomas' father was William Joseph Martin and his mother was Elinor "Elender" Ellis. His maternal grandparents were Benjamin C. Ellis and Tellitha Tabitha Mitchell. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William Ellis, "Mack" Martin, Emily Ann, "Juliann", Sophia, Hope "Hoppie" Jane and Missouria Ellis. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 84 on May 12th, 1929 in Bedford Co, Va. He was buried in Bedford Co, Va.General Notes
