Hope "Hoppie" Jane Martin 
Hope "Hoppie" Jane was born on September 11th, 1841 in Bedford Co, Va. Hope "Hoppie" Jane's father was William Joseph Martin and her mother was Elinor "Elender" Ellis. Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin C. Ellis and Tellitha Tabitha Mitchell. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William Ellis, Joseph Thomas, "Mack" Martin, Emily Ann, "Juliann", Sophia and Missouria Ellis. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 73 on September 21st, 1914 in Bedford Co, Va. She was buried in Bedford Co, Va.General Notes
