William Kern 
William was born on April 4th, 1889 in Franklin Co, IL.1 William's father was Gettis Montgomery Berryhill Kern and his mother was Nancy 'Nannie' Lydie Turner. His maternal grandparents were Monroe L. Turner and Martha Leah Grant. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Clifford D., James Arthur, Samuel Jones, Omer D., William Glenn, Pearly May, Nellie L., Carrie, Ivy R., Ruby Furman and Lottie Marie. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children.General Notes
