Nellie A was born about 1922.¹ Nellie A's father was William Guy Foster and her mother was Ella Nail. Her paternal grandparents were Denny Columbus Foster and Nellie Ann Spry. She had five sisters named Gladys C, Edna Estelle, Eloise, Mary S and Sadie M. She was the second oldest of the six children.
