David, known as The Saint, was born in 1085 in Scotland.1   The Saint's father was Malcolm (Longneck) Caenmoe Dunkeld of Scotland III and his mother was Margaret Atheling of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were King of Scotland Duncan (The Gracious) Alpin of Scots I and Sybil Biornsson; his maternal grandparents were Edward (The Exile) of England and Agatha von Braunschweig. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Ethelred, Edgar, The Fierce, Edward, Edmund, Matilda and Mary. He had a half-brother named Heth.  He died at the age of 68 on May 23rd, 1153 in Carlisle, Cumberland County, England.  He was buried in Dunfermline, Scotland.2 1
