Barnaby Downing 
Barnaby was born in 1548 in Beccles, Suffolk, England. Barnaby's father was George Downing and his mother was Elizabeth Cecil. His maternal grandparents were Richard Cecil and Jane Heckington. He had two brothers and a sister, named George, William and Margaret. He was the oldest of the four children.-
