Josephus Samuel Silas Dobyns 
Josephus Samuel Silas was born on July 3rd, 1875 in Bedford Co, Va. Josephus Samuel Silas' father was Colita "Colity" Whitfield ("Whitfield Dobyns" "Whit" Dobyns) Dobyns and his mother was Julia Ann Tellitha ("Juliann") Martin. His maternal grandparents were William Joseph Martin and Elinor "Elender" Ellis. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William Whitfield, "Clyde", Allen Lee, Griffin "Griff", Elizabeth "Betty" D. and Karion (Keron) Louella Ellen. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 83 on February 25th, 1959 in Lynchburg Co, Va. He was buried in Bedford Co, Va.General Notes
