Hugh Dobyns 
Hugh was born on June 4th, 1904 in Bedford Co, Va. Hugh's father was William Whitfield Dobyns and his mother was Victoria Catherine Ashwell. His paternal grandparents were Colita "Colity" Whitfield ("Whitfield Dobyns" "Whit" Dobyns) Dobyns and Julia Ann Tellitha ("Juliann") Martin; his maternal grandparents were Carey Austin Ashwell and Frances West Howell. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Austin, "Griff", "Colear", Jesse Lee, Opie, Cora Malvina, Nina Lois and Eva May. He was the youngest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thomas Sherwood and Alice Julia. He died at the age of 22 on June 23rd, 1926 in Lynchburg, Lynchburg City, Va.
