Philip, known as The Fair, was born in 1270 in Royal Palace of Fontainebleau, Seine-et-Marne, France.1   The Fair's father was King Phillip (The Bold) Capet of France III and his mother was Isabelle of Aragon.  His paternal grandparents were Saint, King Louis Capet of France IX and Marguerite Berenger of Provence; his maternal grandparents were King Jaime (The Conqueror) of Aragon I and Yolande Arpad of Hungary. He had two brothers named Louis and Charles.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Louis, Margaret and Blanche.  He died at the age of 44 on October 29th, 1314.  He was buried in Saint Denis Basilica.2 1
