Francis COURTENAY 
Francis was born in 1633 and his baptism took place on July 14th, 1633 in Powderham Castle, Devon.1 Francis' father was Francis COURTENAY and his mother was Elizabeth SEYMOUR. His paternal grandparents were William COURTENAY and Elizabeth MANNERS. He had three brothers and a sister, named William, Edward, James and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 39 on May 26th, 1672 in North Yarmouth.2 General Notes
