His paternal grandparents were John Buckles and Frances Wallingford. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas P., Lloyd, Van Thornton, Catherine, Emily R. and Lucinda H.. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 74 on November 3rd, 1930 in Hardin Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
