Catherine was born about 1841 in Indiana.1 Catherine's father was Asa Buckles and her mother was Malinda CLARK. Her paternal grandparents were John Buckles and Frances Wallingford. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas P., Lloyd, Van Thornton, James Roberts, Emily R. and Lucinda H.. She was the second oldest of the seven children.-
