Augustine Gustavus BUCKLES 
Augustine Gustavus was born on August 25th, 1843 in Hardin Co., Kentucky.1 Augustine Gustavus' father was Aaron Buckles and his mother was Rachel MERIT. His paternal grandparents were John Buckles and Frances Wallingford. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Joseph M., James Merit, John, D. Ephraim, Aaron, Henry F., Sophia and Susannah. He was the oldest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, Asa W., Elizabeth and Mary. He died at the age of 45 on February 15th, 1889. He was buried in Saint Ignatius Cemetery.1 1 -
