Aaron was born on April 15th, 1854 in Hardin Co., Kentucky.1 Aaron's father was Aaron Buckles and his mother was Rachel MERIT. His paternal grandparents were John Buckles and Frances Wallingford. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Augustine Gustavus, Joseph M., James Merit, John, D. Ephraim, Henry F., Sophia and Susannah. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, Asa W., Elizabeth and Mary.General Notes
