King Vermundo (The Deacon) of Asturias I

Vermundo, known as The Deacon, was born in 0750.¹ The Deacon's father was Duke Fruela de Cantabria and his mother was Vimara of Asturias. His paternal grandparents were Duke Pedro (The Visigoth) of Cantabria and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Alfonso of Asturias I and Hermesinda Balthes of Asturias. He had a brother named El Diacono. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 47 in 0797.¹
