Thorstein, known as The Red, was born in 0858.¹

The Red's father was Eyvind Austmann Bjarnasson and his mother was Fagertach MacCearbhall. His paternal grandparents were Bjarni Hrolfsson and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 30 in 0888.¹
