Alfred was born in 1816 and his baptism took place on November 10th, 1816 in Rudgwick, Sussex.1   Alfred's father is Richard Steere and his mother is Mary steer. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Richard, James, William, Richard, Mary, Sarah, Ann, Amelia, Mary, Caroline and Eunice.  He was the nineth oldest of the twelve children.  Alfred is no longer alive.
