Nan was born in 1739 and her baptism took place on February 17th, 1739 in Wisborough Green, Sussex.1   Nan's father is Thomas Stear and her mother is Sarah Chiles. She had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Sarah and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  Nan is no longer alive.
