Louisa was born in 1842 in Petworth and her baptism took place there on October 29th, 1842.1 2  Louisa's father was Thomas Steer and her mother was Elizabeth. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, George, William, Henry, Charlotte, Jane and Fanny.  She was the seventh oldest of the eight children.  She died in 1842.  Her burial was on October 25th, 1842 in Petworth.3
