Frederick was born in 1836 and his baptism took place on November 25th, 1836 in Petworth.1  Frederick's father was Thomas Steer and his mother was Sarah steer. He had six brothers and six sisters, named John, David, James, Edwin, Jesse, Thomas, Mary, Dinah, Emily, Caroline, Ellen and Charlotte.  He died in 1836 in Petworth.  His burial was on December 7th, 1836 in Petworth.2 3
