Clement was born in 1852 in Petworth and his baptism took place there on September 15th, 1852.1 2  Clement's father is <Unknown> and his mother was Eliza Steer.  His maternal grandparents were William Steer and Emily (Imlen). He had two sisters named Caroline and Ann.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named James, Charlotte and Mary.  Clement is no longer alive.
