Caroline was born in 1855 in Billingshurst and her baptism took place there on October 7th, 1855.1  Caroline's father is <Unknown> and her mother was Eliza Steer.  Her maternal grandparents were William Steer and Emily (Imlen). She had a brother and a sister, named Clement and Ann.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named James, Charlotte and Mary.  Caroline is no longer alive.
