Avis was born in 1869 in Petworth and her baptism took place there on September 26th, 1869.1 2  Avis' father is <Unknown> and her mother was Fanny Steer.  Her maternal grandparents were George Steer and Charlotte Lucas. She had a sister named Emily.  She was the older of the two children.  Avis is no longer alive.
