Albert was born in 1880 in Billingshurst.1  Albert's father was Clement Steer and his mother was Susan Steer.  His paternal grandfather is <Unknown> and his paternal grandmother was Eliza Steer; his maternal grandparents were George Steer and Charlotte. He had a sister named Anne.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 8 in 1888.2
