Mary was born in 1788 and her brith-milah (circumcision) took place on March 7th, 1788 in St Matthew`s Church, Hayfield.1  Mary's father was George Turner and her mother was Mary Bradbury.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward Turner and Leah. She had four brothers and a sister, named John, Joseph, Edward, William and Hannah.  She was the third youngest of the six children.
