Edward was born in 1792 and his baptism took place on November 2nd, 1792 in St Matthew`s Church, Hayfield.1  Edward's father was George Turner and his mother was Mary Bradbury.  His paternal grandparents were Edward Turner and Leah. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Joseph, William, Hannah and Mary.  He was the second youngest of the six children.
