Ann was born in 1818 and her baptism took place on April 12th, 1818 in Thorne Yorks.1  Ann's father was Stephen Staniland and her mother was Jane Barley.  Her paternal grandparents were John Staniland and Ann Pattrick; her maternal grandparents were John Barley and Ann Taylor. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Jane. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named George, Thomas, Thomas and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 91 on April 1st, 1909 in Chicago.1
