Catherine, known as Kate, was born on February 7th, 1888 in Bunnessan.1   Kate's father was Robert Sinclair and her mother was Margaret Jamieson McIntyre.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles Sinclair and Elizabeth Campbell. She had a brother and eleven sisters, named Charles, Elizabeth, Janet, Isabella, Mary, Margaret, Robina, Jean, Annie, Edith, Helen and Marjory.  She died in Australia.1
